Car Wash

Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Car wash to raise funds to benefit Cutter Davis, a 7 month old from Monument who has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his spinal cord. He'll be getting chemotherapy soon and all funds raised will help pay for that expensive treatment. Also donate at any Wells Fargo Bank to the "Cutter Davis Benefit Fund".

Immunization Outreach Clinic
Date: Friday, July 30, 2010
Location: McDonalds - 1709 N. Turner in Hobbs
Time: 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Hobbs Public Health Office and the Barbara Richardson Blue Cross/Blue Shield Care Van will hold an Immunization Outreach Clinic. Shots will be provided free for children from birth to 18 years of age.

Exhibit is open to everyone and free of charge.

Lea County/City of Lovington Fishing Derby
Date: Saturday, July 31, 2010
Location: Chaparral Park Lake
Time: Registration @ 6:30 a.m. and Fishing begins at 7 a.m.
This event was originally to be held July 4, but has been rescheduled. There are t-shirts for participants and trophies for the winners in each age group. It's free and open to kids age 4-15. The tournament ends at 11:30 a.m. and winners will be judged by weight of fish caught.

Food Drive for Isaiah's Kitchen and Manna Outreach of Hobbs
Date: Saturday, July 31, 2010
Location: Albertson's Parking Lot - 2402 N. Grimes
Time: 9 a.m. - noon
The Bourbon Brothers Band will entertain. Please donate any non-perishable food items to help feed the hungry in Hobbs. You can also drop off food donations at U.S. Cable in the Dal Paso Shopping Center in Hobbs. Contact Isaiah's at 393-4125.

Lea County Humane Society's Annual Paws and Claws Benefit
Date: Saturday, July 31, 2010
Location: Hobbs Animal Adoption Center - 702 N. Grimes
The benefit will feature pet photographers, shots, micro-chips, flea and tick dip for pets, face painting for kids and a bake sale and refreshments for all. Tickets will be sold on a barbecue grill raffle. All proceeds will go to help Lea County Animals.

High Energy Live Concert Series Presents Bret Michaels
