OFFICIAL RULES FOR KZOR/KIXN Whenever, Wherever Ultimate Escape Contest
▪All Contest Rules for KZOR/KIXN/KPZA will apply for this contest unless otherwise noted below.
▪ Grand prize is a trip for two to anywhere in the United States up to $1300 (in travel). Including Roundtrip airfare for 2, 3+ nights in hotel, 2 tickets to local event (if applicable) and $500 prepaid credit card.
▪Runner-up will receive $100 cash and weekend for 4 at Lubbock, TX.
▪A variety of prizes including cash, CD’s, food prizes, concert tickets and a variety of other prizes will also be given away during this promotion.
▪Contest dates will be September 18th thru December 10th, 2008
▪KZOR/KIXN listeners will be told to register at participating sponsor locations. Drawings will take place at sponsor location at least one time per week.
▪At least three names will be drawn at each location each time. Names drawn will then have 9:41 to call KZOR or 10:29 to call KIXN to be included in finals. Finalists may enter once per week.
▪During final event on Dec. 10th, one KZOR finalist and one KIXN finalist will be randomly selected to compete in trivia contest for the trip.
▪Finalists must be present at time of final drawing. Final drawing for finalists will take place between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Sweet & Spicey in the Downtown Mini-Mall for KIXN and Colortime in the Albertson’s Plaza for KZOR.
▪KIXN and KZOR finalists will then be required to come back to #1 Radio Square, 619 N. Turner in Hobbs, NM to compete on air for the Ultimate Escape Grand Prize at approximately 7:25 p.m. December 10, 2008.
▪Finals will take place as follows: each contestant will be asked ten randomly selected trivia questions dealing with potential travel destinations. Questions will be in sealed envelopes that each contestant will choose from. First choice of questions will be determined by coin flip prior to trivia contest beginning. Each contestant will have 10 seconds to answer each question. Should contestants be tied after ten question main round, a “sudden death” trivia round will be conducted. Each contestant will have the opportunity to answer at least one question in this round. Each contestant will get to answer during each “sudden death round”. Should contestant A answer their question correctly but contestant B miss their question in that round, contestant A would be declared the winner and vice versa.
▪If after all questions are exhausted, there is still no winner, grand prize will be determined by a random drawing. The numbers 1-10 will be placed in a box and contestants will each draw one number. The contestant with the highest number will win the grand prize.
▪Winner must take trip during the 2009 calendar year.
▪Prize is non-transferable.
▪Persons must be at least 18 years old on the date the contest starts in order to participate in the contest.
▪Participation in this contest is limited to KZOR or KIXN. You MAY NOT also play Whenever, Wherever Ultimate Escape on KIXN or KZOR or cash contest on KPZA.
▪Anyone who, as a participant in any contest or promotion sponsored by Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation or any station that it owns, operates or has a relationship with in the State of New Mexico, or through its web sites hobbsamerica.com, 1radiosquare.com, kix103fm.com, kzorfm.com and kpzafm.com, has won a prize having a value of $200 dollars or more as determined by Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation within one year from the commencement of this contest, which is September 18, 2008, is ineligible to participate, or win a prize, in connection with this contest.
▪Winner will be solely responsible for all taxes in conjunction with this contest.
▪KIXN, KZOR and Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation reserve the right to change, add to or delete from any or all of these rules at any time during this promotion.
